Scene 1:
Location: Shiv’s house in jaitsar and jaitsar haveli
Meenu tells ira not to think about anandi like that without a solid eveidence. Ira says that she cant think about anything else ever since she knew that they havent consummated their marriage. She reprimands meenu for not telling this incident, when she knew that shiv wouldnt ever talk about this with her. Meenu says that she had already indirectly tried to talk to anandi, and that its just been two months for them and that they would sort out their differences together. they may not be physically intimate but they are emotionally. she tries to convince ira that shiv wont want them interfering in this matter and that they should not think that he isnt happy, as he is seemingly. But ira refuses to understand anything saying that she cant sleep at night thinking about the fact that shiv might be silently suffering his distance from anandi. she says that she wanst to talk to anandi and clarify matters.

When meenu tells ira that she has talked to anandi, she says that now they would have to talk to the person who’s closest to anandi, hinting at sumitra, her mother. Meenu tries to say that they just have a doubt and should not scare the haveli too. But ira is adamant that she would talk to sumitra about this and put her mind to peace.

Meenu calls up sumitra to tell her that ira has come and wants to talk to her. When sumitra excitedly invites her for dinner, ira maintains a strong stance that she has come to jaitsar to talk about anandi and certain aspects that she didnt think sumitra paid attention to. Sumitra is scared and asks her to give a hint atleast. but ira tells her to come there so that they can talk, and that she shouldnt tell about this with anyone in the haveli, before they talk.

Bhairo asks her. She tells him everything and refuses his invitation to come along with her, as ira had told her not to and she would feel bad then.

Scene 2:
Location: Shiv’s office in jaitsar.
Shiv longingly tries to call anandi but doesnt get through. He sends her a message saying that she can send him an sms only telling him about her feelings. He ghets busy in work and then gets an sms from her that says teasingly that she cant say it completely due to network problem. shiv thinks that once she returns, he wont let anything come in between them.

Scene 3:
Location: Shiv’s house in jaitsar
As sumitra arrives, ira apologizes for calling her at such a short notice. Sumitra asks what she wanted to talk about. Ira hesitatingly says that what she is about to talk to her is very delicate, and hence wanted to talk to her alone. sumitra asks her to talk without hesitation. Ira along with meenu, who is surprised at her talks, discusses with sumitra that its been two months to their marriage and still they havent consummated their marriage, reciting in front of her everything that she knew. sumitra too is tensed hearing this. She says that she doesnt understand why that could be since she doesnt see any tension.

Sumitra thinks of anandi’s doubts the day before marriage and wonders whether anandi is still carrying her past and not been able to be with shiv. She says that she would do whatever is asked of her. Ira says that she understands that they both have started loving each other, then why the distance and what is preoccupying anandi’s mind. Sumitra says that she would talk to her and find out. Meenu puts her a little at ease saying that its just a doubt and not necessarily a reason to worry about. Sumitra says that she hopes its like that and takes their leave.

as sumitra begins to leave, she comes across shiv, who is surprised when she hears that she had come to meet ira, who he didnt know was in jaitsar. As she begins to leave, declining his invitation to have lunch with them, he asks her if she’s worried as she seems to be. Sumitra puts on a smiley face and says that there’s nothing to worry about, and leaves. shiv proceeds towards the door.

Meenu says that they didnt do right to sumitra as they unnecessarily upset her. Ira says that she would have understood anandi’s behaviour had she been forced into this marriage, but thats not the case and she was willing for this marriage. She asks that she doesnt see any reason for anandi mainataining distance from shiv now. Meenu says that they cant say for sure that there’s a distance and even if there is, then why is anandi to be blamed only for this. She says that she still doesnt think that this was right. Ira retorts back saying that she doesnt think that anything has been wrong in discussing it with sumitra as she cant see shiv living in suffocation.

Shiv hears this from a distance, and is tensed, remembering sumitra’s tensed face. he entes the door with a knock and they are surprised. After touching her feet, shiv says that he had thought that ira thinks that he has grown big enough to take his own descisions in life, but clearly he was wrong, and demands to know why did ira tell sumitra and upset her. she replies that she did it for his happiness. Shiv says that she should have directly asked him if she wanted to.

Ira says okay and asks right then if everything is alright between them and what she is thinking is wrong. shiv says that such things take time. Ira says that its been two months, and thats sufficient enough time, shiv stops her midway saying that when he isnt keeping count of the time lapsed, then why is she. Ira silences after hearing this. He holds ira by the shoulders, and asks her to understand what anandi went through, and that its not easy for her to accept him like this. He asks her only, if her partial submission would have been nice for their relation. He says that anandi had shared every intimate problem and doubts with him, when she could have done otherwise for the sake of the family, which goes on to show that she’s a very balanced and mature girl. He says that he just supported her in her descision and gave her the space she needed. Meenu too supports him saying that she can understand anandi’s dilemma as its very difficult for a woman to submit herself to another man and accept him as her husband and forgive about her past. the screen freezes on shiv’s face.

Underlying message: Ladies of the prior generation often tend to get trapped in the affection for their progeny, forgetting that they are capable of taking their own mature descisions about their lives. But they shouldnt forget that unwanted advise and interferenece is not the right thing to do.

Precap: Shiv says that he would personally go and clear all misunderstanding between them. Sumitra and bhairo, who had been discussing about anandi are surprised when they see shiv approaching them with a stoical face.
